Violence at South Cyprus schools has spiked!


Violent incidents at schools in South Cyprus have become uncontrollable. Haravgi newspaper wrote that a day after the issue was discussed in Parliament, two new serious violent incidents occurred at schools in South Cyprus, one in Lefkoşa (Nicosia) and the other in Larnaca.
A 13-year-old student was attacked by masked students who set up a trap in one incident and in another incident, a student was hit by his friends while their peers recorded the unpleasant incident.
While the 13-year-old student reported the incident to the police, the paper reports that authorities blamed each other, and added that the current laws were ineffective.
