New figures show a 900 % increase in sexual crimes over the past decade!


 

The level of reported sexual crimes has increased by 900% in North Cyprus over the past 10 years.
Judge Tamay Sağer said that there has been a 900 percent increase in the number of sexual crimes filed at the high criminal court over the past decade.
Sağer issued a statement on sexual crimes during a decision of another court case yesterday.
Judge Sağer stated that they considered the activity reports published by the General Secretariat of the Supreme Court and that there has been a serious increase in sexual crimes in recent years.
“This increased rate is frightening considering the population and size of our country.” Sağer was cited as saying.
