Locals and foreigners were brought together the past weekend at the Christmas Bazaar event organized by Girne (Kyrenia) Municipality.
According to the municipality, the event began at Ramadan Cemil Square on Saturday at 11 a.m. The event continued with a dance show by ‘Kyrenia Tango Kyrenia’ at 1 p.m. Then Santa Claus’s came and gave gifts to children at around 2 p.m., Niyal Öztürk Trio took to the stage straight after at around 3 p.m.
During the event, which also started at 11 a.m at Ramadan Cemil Square on Sunday, a dance show was performed by the ‘Girne Municipality Spring Fairy Dance Academy’. Gifts were also distributed to children.
Food, beverage and souvenir stands were set up throughout the event. Balloons were distributed and face painting activities were organized for children.
The Christmas Bazaar event will continue on Saturday, December 23 and Sunday, December 24.
