Conscientious Objector Hürben will be summoned to 3 days imprisonment if he refuses to pay a fine!

Conscientious Objector Mustafa Hürben, who refused to carry out the mobilization service, was tried at a Military Court and will be fined 800 TL.
It has been reported that if Hürben does not pay the fine within five days, he will spend 3 days in prison.
Judge Tutku Candaş stated in court that some initiatives have been taken since the case was discussed on December 14, and pointed out that a draft law on the subject had been brought to the agenda.
When the case was filed, Prosecutor Doğa Tokay said that there was no such draft law and that if a postponement was requested, they would be constructive on the issue.
Hürben’s lawyer, Öncel Polili, noted that even if the draft law was on the agenda, it was rejected in the Parliament as a matter of urgency, it would not be concluded shortly, and the defendant wanted his case to be completed.
Even though it was on the agenda, its urgency was rejected in parliament adding that there would be no result in court. Polili expressed the desire for the case to be finalized.
