The People’s Party leader (HP) Kudret Özersay, informed the public of the answers received by the General Directorate following complaints filed regarding corruption in North Cyprus.
Özersay stated that only a few cases investigated by police have been completed after complaints were filed. The cases are; ‘the fake diploma scandal’, ‘bribery’, ‘tax fraud’, ‘, illegal wealth declaration’, ‘causing suffering to KIB-TEK’, etc.
In his written statement, Özersay noted that some files that have been investigated, were transferred to the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, some arrests have been made, and he added that more arrests are likely.
