The Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar reacted to British High Commissioner Irfan Siddiq, who stated that the “TRNC will never be recognized”. The British High Commissioner has no right to interfere in our internal affairs in any way, Tatar said.
Tatar reacted to Siddiq’s statements published in the Yenidüzen newspaper.
Tatar said that Siddiq, who said that the TRNC will never be recognized, is in no position to give advice to the Turkish Cypriots or the leadership of the North.

Pointing out that Siddiq’s statements were aimed at disrupting the balance in the Eastern Mediterranean in favor of the UK, Tatar said, “The British High Commissioner has no right to interfere in our internal affairs. We have the Turkish nation behind us. There will be no turning back on the federation issue. “The TRNC will continue to exist forever as a Turkish state in the Eastern Mediterranean, and in the Blue Homeland. No one can prevent this”, he said.
