The Traditional Tepebaşi Tulip Festival, organized in cooperation with the Lapta-Alsancak-Camlibel Municipality, the Tepebaşi Culture, Art and Nature Conservation Association and Tepebaşı Mukhtar’s Office, is taking place this weekend.
The head of the Tepebasi Culture, Art and Nature Conservation Association Dağdoğan Sadrazam gave information about the festival to the BRT.
He stated that the festival, which started to be organized in 2004 in order to draw attention to the protection of the country’s endemic Tulipa Cypria, or locally known as Medos tulips, which are under protection, will be held for the 16th time this year after a 4-year hiatus.
Stating that the festival, which will be held from March 16-17, will also include walking tours to the tulip meadow: Sadrazam invited all citizens to the Tepebaşi Tulip Festival.
