According to SBA police statment, Inspector Theodorou, who works as a Training Officer at the police’s Dhekelia station, received the award for her ‘long-term commitment to leadership’ and for using her ‘exceptional personal skills’ to have a positive impact on those she works with.

Speaking after returning from the conference last week, the 52-year-old, 26-year police veteran, who has overseen the recruitment of close to 40 per cent of the current police force, admitted to feeling shocked to have won the award.
She explained: “I found myself in disbelief, it was a really emotional moment for me when the Governor called my name to go and get the award.

“It inspires me to continue striving for excellence and making a positive impact in my field. I want to express my sincere gratitude to the organisers for this incredible recognition.”
