Police Service Commission has approved the appointment of 186 police officers in total. 6 Police Chiefs, 8 Deputy Police Chiefs, 11 Chief Inspectors, 8 Police Inspectors, 11 Deputy Inspectors, 18 Police Sergeants, 82 Police Officers, 3 Fire Brigade Sergeant and 39 Civil Service Officers were transferred it has been reported.
According to a statement by the Police, the appointed officers will begin their new post on August 25th.
As part of the transfers, the new District Chief of Police are as follows:
Lefkoşa (Nicosia) Chief of Police Gökay Karagil, Gazimağusa (Famagusta) Chief of Police Mahmut Barış Sel, Girne (Kyrenia) Chief of Police Ali Adalıer, Güzelyurt (Morphou) Chief of Police Hüseyin Kadir Çete, İskele (Trikomo) Chief of Police Erdal Şanlıdağ.
