Erenköy (Kokkina) – Karpaz (Karpasia) Municipality warned that dogs must be registered and microchipped.
Mayor Hamit Bakırcı in a statement said that dogs that are lost or abandoned during the hunting season, wander around hungry and thirsty, which leads to negative outcomes.
Bakırcı warned that owners of unregistered dogs or dogs that are not microchipped will face fines.
Bakırcı added that hunters should always carry their hunting dog license documents with them during the hunting season
