Doctor attacked at a Gazimağusa (Famagusta) clinic!


 

A doctor working at a private clinic in Gazimağusa (Famagusta) was stabbed on Saturday it has been reported.
According to a police report, a 32-year-old man stabbed a doctor at a Gazimağusa clinic following an argument that escalated between them.
The doctor is receiving hospital treatment, it has been reported.
The suspect was arrested and a police investigation has been launched.
SUSPECTS SOCIAL MEDIA POSTINGS REVEALED
Meanwhile, it has been reported that the police were in search of the suspect for previously beating and injuring a lawyer a few days ago. It has also been revealed that the suspect shared postings of family violence and psychological problems that he had been exposed to.
HEALTH UNIONS TAKE ACTION
The Cyprus Turkish Nurses and Midwives Association (KTHES) and Turkish Cypriot Doctors Trade Union (Tıp-İş) will protest today to condemn the Gazimağusa (Famagusta) knife attack.
The two unions will protest between 9 am and 1 pm at all hospitals and health centres across the country, except for some services. Union members will gather in front of the Ministry of Health and march to the Parliament Building, it has been reported.
The action is being supported by the Cyprus Turkish Medical Association and the Cyprus Turkish Pharmacists Association.
