Environmental deficiencies throughout North Cyprus

Environmental pollution in North Cyprus has reached extensive levels.

According to Diyalog News, dry grass that is growing along the roadsides is not only creating a fire hazard but also is blocking the warning signs on the roads.

Broken protective barriers and traffic warning signs are left as they are following traffic accidents and are not being repaired.

Some people, who take advantage of the country’s lack of control, are dumping their home or work litter at historical and touristic areas.
Car tires, mattresses, quilts, blankets, glass and plastic bottles, broken toys, chairs and tables are thrown on roadsides too.
The respective department is not taking any measures to overcome these problems.
