The Council of Ministers have decided to set a fixed exchange currency rate on some payments in the country.
The economic problems experienced in the country due to the fluctuation in the foreign exchange rates were discussed at a Council of Ministers meeting today, under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Ünal Üstel.
It has been reported that the 31 May 2023 exchange rate of USD 20.31, EURO 21.76, and Sterling 25.12 TL will be applied to certain payments.

Meanwhile, a zero VAT rate will be implemented on some basic consumption goods and service groups, and a lower VAT rate will be applied to others.
