Ramadan festivity has begun


 

Eid al-Fitr, or Ramadan one of the two holy festive holidays of the Islamic world, has begun today.

Eid al-Fitr which will be celebrated for three days will end on Friday (12th April).

The Eid al-Fitre festivity began with prayers at 6.56 this morning at all mosques across the country.

Turkish Cypriot Leader Ersin Tatar and his wife Sibel Tatar will receive well-wishers at the Presidency at 11 am today, the first day of the Ramadan holiday.

Meanwhile, the General Directorate of Police has announced that they will be working 24/7 for the peace and security of the public during the festive holiday.

Municipalities have also assured the public that precautions have been taken for the holiday.
