–The Police informs about the measures that will be taken for the safe conduct of the football match for the Pancypriot Football Championship A’ Category, between the teams OMONIA – APOEL, which will be held on Sunday 28.04.2024 at 19.00, at the GSP Stadium, in Nicosia .
The police reminded that there will be no movement of fans of the visiting team during the match in accordance with the decision of the KOP.
The stadium entrances will open to the public at 17:00. The sports fans who will watch the match are urged to arrive at the stadium on time, no later than one hour before the start of the match, in order to avoid their own inconvenience. It is clarified that fans who arrive late to the stadium may enter it after the start of the match.
A special check will be carried out on children’s entry tickets and the presentation of a ID may be requested.
All entrants to the stands must bring their fan card and present it with their entry ticket.
OMONIA fans will occupy the west, north and east stands of the stadium, therefore, they are encouraged to head to the stadium via Independence Avenue and the G.S.P. roundabout. and park their vehicles in the west and north car parks.
Passage from the south stands to the east stands will be blocked. Therefore, those who enter the eastern stand will only be able to enter it from the north side of the stadium.
On the day of the match, the west and north ticket offices will be open for OMONIA fans only. Box offices will open at 5:00 p.m.
o Entry to the stadium is allowed only to those who present a Philatholos Card and match ticket
o It is strictly forbidden to bring flares, firecrackers and other dangerous objects into the stadium
o The transportation and consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited, both outside and inside the stadium
o It is forbidden to carry banners with political, abusive or other provocative content and clothing with political symbols
o Writing slogans in the surrounding area, on the walls of the stadium and anywhere else is prohibited
o It is forbidden to enter the stadium for fans who are in possession of shoulder bags and protective motorcycle helmets, as well as any other means that cover their face
o Climbing the stadium railings is not allowed.
o It is strictly forbidden to stop and park along Fthiotidos Street after the third auxiliary field which leads to Independence Avenue. .
Anyone who does not follow the above rules may be ejected from the stadium without warning and without having any legal claim against the stadium authorities, even if they hold a valid ticket.
The collection points for personal items are the western ticket offices for OMONIA fans.
It is noted that the parking of vehicles on the new roundabout of the Nicosia-Limessos highway despite the GSP stadium and on the roadsides in the area of the stadium is prohibited and violators will be reported.
It is pointed out that the Police are present at the sports grounds to protect the fans. It is also clarified that there will be a police presence in the area of the stadium to provide traffic facilities to the public.
