Tragic accident in Tatlısu: One dead, two Greek Cypriots injured


 

Hüseyin Palu has died following a traffic accident on the Tatlısu (Akanthou) road.

Driver of FC 228 registered vehicle, Geçitkale (Lefkoniko) resident Hüseyin PALU, 41, who was heading towards Geçitkale on the Tatlısu road, crashed head on with driver of MEH 831, Greek Cypriot Christoforou CHRISTOFOROS, 49, after losing steering control at the bend before crossing into the opposite lane.

Driver of FC 228, Hüseyin PALU who was seriously injured following the crash, was taken to the Famagusta State Hospital, but could not be saved despite all efforts.

Driver of MEH 831, Christoforou CHRISTOFOROS, and passengers Ekaterina TSARA, 39 and Naomi TSARA, 11, who were injured in the accident, have been discharged following their treatment at the Famagusta State Hospital.

An investigation is underway.
