Transport Minister Arıklı: Sea voyages to begin May 4


 

The Minister of Public Works and Transportation Erhan Arıklı announced that the ‘Ada 74’ vessel, purchased with the initiatives put forward to raise the Turkish Cypriot Shipping Company together with the Turkish Privatization Administration has accomplished its target and has reached the port of Gazimağusa (Famagusta).
In a statement on social media Arıklı announced that the launch of the vessel ‘Ada 74’, which has a capacity of 400 passengers, 15 trucks, and 25 small-sized vehicles, will be an advantage to our sea transportation.
Arıklı noted that the vessel will head to Mersin during the week to be modernized and that they aim to start regular sailings with a ceremony to be held on May 4.
