Cyprus crocodile footage a scam!

Director of Cyprus Wildlife Research Institute Kemal Basat said that the footage of a crocodile shared on social media was not taken in Cyprus.
Kemal Basat’s social media post is as follows:
“The footage of a crocodile shared on social media was not taken in Cyprus. The animal in the video is a saltwater crocodile (Crocodylus porosus), the world’s largest crocodile species that can grow up to 6 meters usually found in the North of Australia, and Southeast Asia. It has been detected that the footage was captured and shared by a tour guide David McMahon in North Australia in March. Although the footage shared on social media was not recorded in our country, bio-smuggling is a serious problem in North Cyprus that threatens both nature and human health. Before such situations turn into serious problems, it is essential to systematically combat and control them” Basat added.
