Three were injured following a head-on crash that took place on the Ercan-İskele main road this morning.
A police statement said that driver of MC 690 Özkan TULGA (M-19) who was heading towards Ercan on the Ercan-İskele main road at around 7.30 a.m. this morning was negligent driving near the Ejder Petrol Station when he crossed into the opposite lane and crashed head-on with driver of 54 DR 638 Mücahit DEMİREL (M-26).
Both drivers and Ali ALKAÇOĞLU (M-17) who was a passenger in the MC 690 registered vehicle, were admitted to the Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in Lefkoşa (Nicosia). Mücahit DEMİREL is being kept under observation at the intensive care unit. Özkan TULGA and Ali ALKAÇOĞLU’s treament continues.
An investigation into the incident is underway.
