A 49-year-old man was arrested for theft


 

Police have arrested a 49-year-old man, in connection with an investigated case of theft of property, worth 5,200 euros, committed last Sunday, in a building in the Limassol district.

The theft was reported to the Kalou Chori Police Station shortly after 4:00 pm on Sunday. According to the complaint, at around 10.00 before noon on Sunday, two car engines, together with their two gearboxes, with a total value of 3,000 euros, four car wheel rims, with a value of 1,000 euros, were stolen from the fenced workshop area, in Limassol district , as well as 150 pieces of wooden boards, worth 1,200 euros.

After the examinations carried out by the police verified the description of the perpetrator and the description of the vehicle used to commit the theft, evidence emerged against the 49-year-old suspect, who was identified by the members of the Police as the perpetrator of the theft.

At the same time, during the investigations being carried out in the wider area, the 49-year-old’s vehicle was located and seized as evidence, for further tests.

As part of the police investigations, an arrest warrant was issued against the 49-year-old suspect. He was spotted yesterday afternoon, and taken into custody for the purpose of investigating the case.
