The Republican Turkish Party (CTP) youth branch recently visited the youth EDON branch in South Cyprus.
Developments on both sides of the economy, education and health, as well as a federal solution in Cyprus, were evaluated during the meeting.
Youth branches of the CTP and EDON emphasized that their views on a federal solution in Cyprus were similar. They pointed to the importance of efforts to strengthen inter-communal communication to achieve this goal.
It was emphasized that the CTP and EDON youth branches were not only left-socialist organizations, but also organizations that put forward the importance of the history of Cyprus stating that many common struggles have been fought for peace in the past and at present.
Both branches also exchanged ideas for joint events and activities to take place for peace-building efforts and reunification.
Difficulties faced by the youth of both regions were also taken up during the meeting.
