Koop – Süt facing critical financial distress!


Koop-Süt is facing a critical financial term due to excessive staff employment, constant intervention of politics and wrong price policies being applied.

According to Diyalog Gazetesi, the company announced that it’s accumulated debt amount has exceeded over 115 million TL, and has recently unable to purchase TETRA-PAK on time.

A warning has been issued stating that if the business, which already makes a loss of approximately 150,000 to 175,000 TL a day, will put its products at danger if the 20 million TL is not paid on time.

137 people are now working for the business while only 70 employees were enough to get all work completed. It was also stated that the institution had started by exporting hellim (halloumi), yet not one kilo has been sold abroad in 2023.
