UBP İskele MP Emrah Yeşilırmak made important statements regarding the allegations against him associated with the fake diploma scandal.
Making a statement to Kıbrıs Postası, Yeşilırmak accused the silent partner of Cyprus Health and Social Sciences University (KTSU), Serdal Gündüz, of ‘ganging up’ and claimed that he was also lured into a trap.
Yeşilırmak, who graduated from a 3-year department at Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), completed all his courses and graduated from a 4-year undergraduate program at KSTU.
Yeşilırmak, who has not yet given a statement to the police regarding the issue, made some confessions.
Accusing Serdal Gündüz of ‘ganging up’, Yeşilırmak claimed that he was also lured into a trap.
Yeşilırmaks’ statement:
“I was told that 36 courses were enough to graduate. I asked, ‘Do I need to take any lessons?’ I was told, ‘No, you are the head of the department, you don’t have to take it.’”
“The gang there deceived so many people this way. They deliberately manipulated the recordings. I didn’t go to school there. What I am told now is that I need to take 6-8 lessons. This is not my responsibility, it is the school’s responsibility. If we had been told we had to take 5 more courses, then I would have taken them.”
